IndigoVision reports strong growth

The firm reported an increase in product revenues of 92 per cent to GB pound 13.3m for the year ending 31st July 2007, with an 81 per cent rise in operating profits.

Increased investment and several key appointments are thought to be behind the growth. In the last year, IndigoVision has significantly expanded its global sales team and has appointed a new chief marketing officer, group sales director and group HR director.

“The appointments to the senior management team, continued R&D investment and further development of our partner network gives us an excellent platform from which to continue the company’s outstanding growth for the coming year,” said CEO Oliver Vellacott.

In July, IndigoVision was awarded its largest-ever American contract to supply a fully-digital 1,100 camera system to two casinos in Tucson, Arizona. Earlier, the company signed a deal to upgrade the 880-camera CCTV system on Vancouver’s SkyTrain, the world’s largest automated light rapid transit system.

Despite these North American successes IndigoVision, which has a base in Edinburgh, generated its highest turnover in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. There, turnover for the year 2007 hit GB pound 7.3m – compared to just GB pound 2.5m in Asia and GB pound 3.6m in the Americas.
