IndigoVision received the Royal Bank of Scotland Award for Outstanding International Achievements at the 19th Annual Scottish Council for Development & Industry (SCDI) Awards for Exports & Enterprise.
The award recognised the Edinburgh-based company’s high export turnover, its broad spread of overseas sales markets and its plans for export growth.
Said Oliver Vellacott, CEO: “It’s really pleasing to receive recognition for the international aspects of what we do”.
“Building a global presence is challenging, with lots of travel, multiple time zones and bringing together diverse cultures within one organisation.
“Even though we now have our own people in 18 countries, we still have some way to go, but it’s great to be recognised for our achievements to date in building a genuine global business.”
The honour follows on from its scooping of two awards at the 2008 Security Excellence Awards, organised by UBM Live, publishers of beating of info4security and Security Installer magazine. It beat off stiff competition to win the International Achievement and Security Manufacturer of the Year categories.
IndigoVision also teamed up with retail group, John Lewis, to win honours at the Retail Systems Awards 2008. It won the Security Initiative of the Year category following installation of IP video surveillance at nine John Lewis’ department stores.
