Smart RFID keyTags are secured in the cabinet using proxCylinders, a combination of a proximity reader and a mechanical lock. Barrel illumination provides the visual location of an individual key in the cabinet, while the keyTags work like proximity smart cards. Fast track key return is achieved by simply holding the relevant keyTag in front of the reader; this activates the cabinet door and illuminates the correct return location.
