Irish award for VSG’s Singh

In evaluating Singh’s submission for the award, the judges were impressed by his contribution to transforming the performance of a major retail store near Dublin and, in particular, with the successes achieved by Singh and his colleagues at the store in reducing stock loss and waste.

“The judges also said that Singh is “universally regarded as a driving force at the store”.

“We are absolutely delighted that this award has gone to Amandeep,” said James Flynn, operations manager for VSG in the Irish Republic, “because he is an exceptionally well motivated and dedicated employee. On many occasions, he goes above and beyond what is required of him and he is always looking for innovative ways to improve security at the store, and to enhance the shopping experience for the store’s customers.

“His work is by no means always easy, but whatever challenges he faces, Amandeep always shows unshakeable passion and commitment. These are some of the reasons why he is such a worthy recipient of the award, and such an important part of the team at the store in which he works.”

Singh received his award in front of an audience of over 300, which included almost all of the key figures in the Irish security industry, at a ceremony held in Dublin. The award, which comprises a medal, a certificate and a cheque for euro 250, was presented by the Minister for Finance, Brian Lenihan TD.
