ITA Group acquires covert surveillance provider

Hampshire-based ITA group run a 24-hour operations room supporting 70 escorting personnel who repatriate people to countries all over the globe, and the acquisition of CSG is described as “the first of a number of investments.”

“CSG provides the ITA Group with a proven capability in the management of complex covert surveillance operations for clients in the UK and across Europe”, says David Smith, ITA Group’s Operations Director.

He adds, “These highly-sensitive services are provided to government departments, corporate clients and legal firms involved in A-list litigation.”

CSG’s surveillance teams consist largely of British ex-servicemen and women with wide-ranging language and operational skills. Operators span a range of ages and ITA say that this allows highly-effective intelligence gathering against even the most sophisticated subjects. CSG teams are said to be able to operate in a wide range of environments without raising suspicion.

CSG also deliver counter-surveillance and protective surveillance services, and the company’s operators are trained to identify people that may be watching or posing a threat to a person or asset.

A press release from the company has also said staff are specially trained in methods that will lead another surveillance or reconnaissance team to compromise itself without realising it.

ITA Group owns ITA Global Services Ltd, including the International Training Academy and ITA’s R&D division, which designs and manufactures vehicle countermeasures systems. These systems are attachable to any vehicle and can be remotely operated to deploy smoke, audio stun devices and CS gas in the event of attack. This system is currently being evaluated by a number of corporate organisations and government services for VIP protection.

ITA Group’s Marketing Director, David Hitchins says, “After the recently announced launch of the International Training Academy CSG is the first of a number of investments the ITA Group will be announcing over the next few months.”
