Jacksons introduces Linebacker crash fence and gate system

Unlike other products currently available, Jacksons’ Linebacker is designed for easy installation, with cables that don’t require tensioning on site. This means that posts and the surrounding ground are not stressed, while any repairs can be affected quickly and efficiently.

The cables are run in single unbroken lengths with clamped cable collars at every post, including intermediate posts – an important feature that effectively contains the loading on impact along the intermediate posts rather than relying on the end posts to cope with the full loading.

The system may be used as a stand-alone barrier or retrofitted to any existing security fence including chain link, ornamental steel, steel mesh, vertical bar, etc.

Performance and cost-efficiencies in one

Talking about the company’s latest development, Jacksons Fencing’s CEO Richard Jackson told SMT Online: “Our introduction of Linebacker to the UK market provides clients with a choice on the systems available, the technologies employed and their consequential cost. I believe Linebacker is the only design available today that can combine performance and cost efficiency in equal parts.”

The Linebacker K-12 crash fence, for example, is scalable and can meet K-12, K-8 and K-4 ratings for anti-ram vehicle barriers and various penetration ratings.

Jackson added: “The introduction of Linebacker further underlines our commitment to delivering integrated perimeter security solutions in higher security applications, and follows on from UK Government approval in January of two of our Trident fencing systems at the highest security ratings.”

Matching gates for manual or automated operation

Matching gates are available for manual or automated operation in cantilever and tracked sliding designs to match a Linebacker fence (and any Jacksons fence to which it is fitted) and thus maintain the security level throughout the protected perimeter.
