Motor locks

The EL590 and EL490 motor locks have mechanical and electromechanical functions that can be set during installation.

These electromechanical locks provide a high security option where the control of pedestrian traffic needs to be combined with mechanical locking security and safety.

In case of power failure the bolt always dead locks, while in emergency situations the door can always be opened with the inside handle.

Typical access control applications for these new locks include business premises and hospitals, where they would be fitted to exterior doors – access controlled doors that are also used as emergency exits and fire doors.

Because the locks can also be electronically controlled by fixed time control systems, they are suitable for use on exterior doors of educational premises, public buildings, apartments and business premises where extra security is required, such as banks, says the company.
