The Investors in People standard provides a recognised framework that helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of their staff. It can afford companies a benchmark and a template outlining future business development through investment in personnel. The standard formalises – and provides public recognition of – the NSI’s continuing commitment to staff development, which is an integral part of providing the highest performance for the benefit of NSI approved companies, their customers and specifiers alike.
Andrew White, the NSI’s chief executive (above), commented: “Gaining Investors in People status is a tremendous achievement and reflects positively on the NSI. We expect the companies we approve to achieve high levels of performance standards, and it’s vitally important that we also try to do this. Working towards achieving Investors in People helped us to further improve the way in which we operate.”
