Nedap system takes off in Cyprus

Nedap’s Israeli business partner Orad Ltd won a tender to deliver and install the AEOS system at the international airports in both Paphos and Larnaca.

Nedap say that the combination of state-of-the-art hardware and configurable software components enables airport staff to take control of tight security procedures.

The AEOS security management system at Larnaka International will consist of approximately 211 Nedap Proximity readers and 12,000 Mifare cards. In Paphos, the system is expected to comprise of 61 Nedap Proximity readers and 5,000 Mifare cards. Both projects are expected to be completed in 2008.

The project also includes CCTV, logical biometric log-in to computers and a central command & control system. These supplementary installations will be overseen by Orad’s sister company in Cyprus, Glosec Holdings Ltd.
