Ikegami said the 1/3″ ICD-809P and .50″ ICD-879P day/night cameras do this by allowing better coverage of near-infrared light (1000nm).
The cameras change from day to night mode using an electronically-controlled moving filter system, and both models come equipped with an improved CCD sensor, providing 540TVL horizontal resolution in colour mode and 570TVL horizontal resolution in monochrome mode.
The ICD-809P is the upgraded version of the colour-only 1/3″ ICD-808P, while the ICD-879P is a new incarnation of the .50″ ICD-848P and is currently used in some town centres and high-security applications.
Both cameras also feature an eight-zone privacy masking facility, different modes of AGC control and local and RS-485 remote camera setup.
The cameras are distributed in the UK through ADI-Gardiner.
