Last month, LILIN launched the NVR-116: a groundbreaking, 16-channel, HD IP network video recorder with touch-screen operation.
Now, the company has announced that the standalone NVR family has been extended to include four and nine channel versions as well.
The NVR-104 and NVR-109 units “provide a cost-friendly solution for smaller projects without compromising quality”. Offering four or nine channels of 1080P at 25 frames per second, all of the unique benefits associated with the NVR-116 are incorporated in the smaller channel versions.
End users of the NVR Touch series will benefit from a standalone network video recording solution capable of displaying and recording multiple channels of 1080P IP video simultaneously at 25 fps. All models can be operated using an IR remote control, a PTZ keyboard or a standard touch-screen monitor.
LILIN’s touch-screen interface takes advantage of highly intuitive smartphone-style features like ‘pinch and zoom’, multi-touch and scrolling icon-based menus, deliberately avoiding traditional PC-style screens.
The touch-screen increases operator speed and also minimises the time taken to learn how the system operates in terms of functionality and use.
WS Discovery: the automated installation wizard
The entire NVR series also has an automated installation wizard (WS Discovery) which locates all the cameras on the network and imports a preview picture of each channel to help with identification. This greatly speeds up commissioning.
Users can easily export audio and video recordings to a USB, the NVR’s integrated DVD or to a protected part of a hard drive by interacting with the drag and drop timeline. Remote viewing from smartphones is fully enabled, with iPhone, Android, Blackberry and iPad compatibility as standard.
The NVR Touch is a second generation NVR, designed from scratch for the CCTV market.
In truth, it has taken four years for LILIN to develop a processor for decoding real-time HD video streams that does not rely on a PC. It was a considerable challenge and investment, but essential for making products that are straightforward for installers to set up and operate.
Having developed the hardware platform for this NVR, LILIN now plans to incorporate it into other HD IP systems for more specialist markets.
