A development of the established BX80N external perimeter PIR, the BX80NR is designed to protect the immediate perimeter of a building, with an effective range of up to 24m. It has been developed for the purpose ‘early warning’ – detecting an intruder at the earliest opportunity.
Optex’s Paul Nicholas says: “When used for intruder/standalone applications, the BX80NR can utilise a range of generic transmitters which can be housed in the device. Alternatively, for CCTV applications the BX80NR can be coupled with the Redwall WF100DT transmitter and WF100CU receiver to accurately control domes or fixed camera functions used in onsite or remote monitoring applications.”
Although primarily designed for external applications, both the original BX80N and wireless BX80NR can also be used internally, providing a viable solution for perimeter sequential confirmation when coupled with other devices to form a sequentially confirmed alarm condition.
