Optelecom-NKF announces casino contract

The contract was awarded by gaming industry systems integrator Southwest Surveillance Systems and will see Optelecom-NKF’s network transmission technology installed at the casino, which gives away nearly $2bn a year in prizes.

While the financial terms of the contract remain under wraps, Optelecom-NKF has announced that it will be providing its chassis-mounted 9131 four-channel uncompressed digital video cards, 9591 multiformat digital data cards and its 9942 network management transmission technology solution at the casino.

The fibre optic network solution combines video, data and audio and should enable casino staff to consolidate video content from cameras on the casino floor with footage from car park cameras.

Ed Ludwig, Optelecom-NKF’s president and CEO said the company was excited to strengthen its partnership with Southwest Surveillance Systems.

“Optelecom-NKF is proud to be a part of Southwest’s commitment to provide a secure, safe gaming environment to their customers.”
