Optilan wins £3 million CCTV contract from City of Hull
The system, comprising 240 state of the art cameras, some of which are transportable and supported by a City wide radio network, also includes an operator control centre upgrade, digital recording equipment and a substantial matrix system expansion as well as the integration of the existing cameras.
The expansion of Hull’s original network will create one of the largest CCTV systems of its kind worldwide.
CDS Integrated Security Systems won the contract to provide digital technology at St David’s Centre, Cardiff, the largest shopping centre in South Wales. The GB pound 130,000 contract involves replacing all 25 existing cameras with fully mobile digital systems plus five new cameras. Work was due to take place outside trading hours to ensure minimum disruption.
