The system is for the QuickPark car park. Customers log onto the website (here) and can reserve their car parking in advance.
They enter the date, time of arrival and duration of their stay, and can then check car parking space availability. They receive a PIN code that is entered into a Net2 keypad on arrival, where a space is pre-allocated. The same code is used on exiting the car park.
This means the customers no longer need to have with them the payment card used in making the booking, or obtain a ticket at the barrier, which can easily be mislaid.
