Philips CSI’s latest day and night CCTV cameras are at the heart of a community security scheme being operated by Leicester City Council. No less than 225 LTC0450 and 50 LTC0600 colour cameras – not to mention 40 LTC0803 models – have been installed by Delaware Communications to monitor public areas, streets, building entrances and internal lifts/corridors in residential tower blocks.
Delaware’s overall system design includes easy-to-use touch screens and monitors (31 in all) housed in the main control room.
Map-based displays on the screens allow security staff to view any designated areas, at the same time providing a graphic illustration of the camera viewing angle and direction so that operators know exactly where they are looking. Incidents can be dealt with swiftly.
