Pre-qualified meetings programme launched for end users attending 2012 Global Security Summit

Helping senior end users from across the security and fire sectors to meet and do business with the right solutions providers, Global Security Summit London (Check out the official Global Security Summit 2012 website) 2012 is set to deliver “an unrivalled business environment” with the launch of its pre-qualified meetings service.

Offering “far greater collaboration opportunities” than is the case with a traditional exhibition, organisers of the new end user-focused show will match security solution ‘buyers’ with ‘sellers’ and provide personalised itineraries for senior level security end users consisting of meetings, thought leadership events, education and networking opportunities.

Borne from a strategic partnership between UBM plc, the organiser of IFSEC International and Firex International, and Pro-Activ Publications (publisher of Risk UK and Professional Security Installer magazines as well as Benchmark), Global Security Summit London 2012 will provide an unprecedented opportunity for world-leading security, fire and safety companies to present their technologies, services and solutions directly to senior security and fire end sector users emanating from key vertical markets.

Simon Parker, managing director of UBM, explained: “UBM has been at the heart of the security industry for over 20 years now, and we’ve consistently provided events that deliver value for our visitors and exhibitors.”

Parker continued: “As industries move on and evolve we need to provide formats that adapt to changing circumstances and needs. Global Security Summit London will be characterised by an exciting new format that ensures buyers and sellers meet in an atmosphere conducive to doing business. It takes the ‘chance’ element out by providing a series of pre-arranged meetings, connecting people that will benefit from talking to each other. This will provide an instantly quantifiable return on investment and represents a genuine ‘first’ for the security industry.”

Relevant contacts, topical knowledge

To help deliver maximum return on investment to delegates, a strict pre-qualification process will be carried out to ensure that contacts are relevant and the knowledge is topical. An extensive marketing and PR campaign will also help exhibitors raise their profile in the lead-up to the event which takes place on 10-11 October 2012.

Backed by the creme de la creme of the security industry, Global Security Summit London has the support of ASIS International’s UK Chapter, the Association of Security Consultants (ASC), the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the Fire Protection Association (FPA) and The Security Institute (SyI).

Building upon years of experience gained by producing IFSEC International, the leading annual global security event, UBM plc recognises the importance of quality content that makes the most of delegates’ time on the show floor; from business opportunities to professional development.

In conjunction with London First and other leading industry bodies, an extensive seminar and workshop programme will take place at Global Security Summit London to help visitors keep abreast of the latest industry issues, legislation and innovations across the fire and security markets.

The Global Security Summit London will also see a number of global influencers conduct keynote sessions throughout the event, in turn covering emerging technologies from across the world. Part of the learning experience will draw from major global events that have dominated world news.

Unrivalled knowledge base in fire and security

Mark Quittenton, the managing director at Pro-Activ Publications, said: “Our partnership with UBM brings together two organisations that, when combined, represent an unrivalled knowledge base in the security and fire industries. Judging by the interest we’ve already seen from the readers of Risk UK, we have certainly struck a chord with the announcement of the Global Security Summit London.”

Quittenton continued: “By offering end users a fresh approach to exhibiting, networking and prospecting, the Global Security Summit is set to generate real business opportunities throughout the security and risk management arena. A show dedicated to the needs of the end user is just what the industry needs to ensure that the latest technologies and methodologies are adopted across the security landscape.”

In conclusion, Simon Parker explained: “There has been a significant gap in the market for a London event which draws the top decision-making end users from across the security and fire sectors, and we firmly believe that Global Security Summit London is set to fulfil the market’s needs.”

He added: “We have had overwhelming support from the security industry’s chief bodies and look forward to helping some of the world’s leading solutions providers tap into this unique business opportunity.”
