The new multi-million pound facility, which includes a segregated and secure Prevention of Terrorism Suite, believed to be the most advanced in the country, provides the headquarters for the force’s Redcar and Cleveland districts.
Pickersgill-Kaye’s Class 1 lock was specified after it was suggested by the project’s contractor. Designed to prevent self-harm, the lock has anti-ligature features that help in the provision of safer cells, whilst providing “excellent” levels of security and high resistance to damage and wear and tear.
Pickersgill-Kaye also offers a new, more robust key management regime, designed to streamline efficiency and heighten security – enabling users to request an exclusive key code, with no other like anywhere else in the UK.
