Protect fuel and metal

With increasing theft from fuel stores, barns and outbuildings as well as an increasing problem of metal theft from building sites, historic buildings and churches, FM Electronics has launched a new external detector.

The unit covers any external perimeter area where detection is required and may be linked into many other intruder systems using an FM interface.

The wire free twin beam external detector has a radio range of up to 500 metres and uses dual beam technology to minimise nuisance alarms.

In a rugged metal enclosure with swivel bracket, the detector has a typical detection range of 30 metres and a repeater can be used to double the radio range.

FM says the unit has been designed for rapid installation. Installers simply need to select a solid mounting point, check the radio signal back t the control panel or interface, secure the detector to the mounting, walk test to ensure the desired coverage and, finally, carry out a full system test.
