Designed for users who require secure, low-cost data archiving, the black titanium QBack-35S supports single 3.5″ SATA hard drives of up to 1tb and eSATA high-speed transfer interfaces.
QBack-35S offers users support for email clients like Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Mail and features back-up for free automatic synchronisation and AES 256-bit encryption.
QNAP’s back-up software, QBack, is enclosed in the package and provides four operation modes. Users should be able to back-up data on the device immediately by pressing a ‘one touch button’.
A USB 2.0 interface allows users to connect the device to a computer at anytime, when selected information will be automatically sent for storage.
QBack is also said to provide a schedule back-up mode, which enables automatic data backup at intervals defined by the user.
Other features include ‘smart detection’, which checks the size of files selected for backup against the amount of space available on the drive, and support for ten languages.
