The installation is part of a major four year upgrade for Medway, which has pioneered the use of microwave transmission to hub sites, such as schools and council premises. Images are relayed via broadband to the control centre.
TJW’s Steve Craddock said: “Using a combination of local HDD recording at the hub sites, and remote monitoring via broadband, we have developed an affordable way of extending CCTV coverage to outlying areas and local neighbourhoods.”
