The Building of the Year awards ceremony recognises excellence in the field of construction and architecture in Bulgaria.
The professional jury consists of Bulgarian and foreign experts in architecture, investments, consultant services and business.
The Hotel Metropolitan-Sofia won the category for the best Business Hotel and the Park Hotel Pirin-Sandanski won the category for the best Holiday Hotel.
Salto said the installation of access control systems in both hotels “significantly contributed to the award wins”
“The decision to embrace the latest in electronic security using contactless Mifare smart cards allied to Salto’s virtual network technology gave, in the judges’ opinion, significant advantages of comfort and security to guests and outstanding controllability to management,” a Salto statement said.
Marin Marinov, of APEX MM Ltd (BG), the local distribution partner that carried out the Salto installations at both hotels, said: “We are delighted that both hotels, having selected Salto as their preferred choice of electronic access control system, have won these awards. It recognises that the Bulgarian construction market embraces the best technology available and offers some of the finest hotel accommodation in Europe.”
