The initiative is designed to facilitate cooperation between the two companies in developing Milestone XProtect support for Samsung Techwin’s network surveillance products.
During 2008 Samsung Techwin will be introducing a wide range of IP cameras and other network CCTV products. Milestone’s software platform will work with these new productsto create a fully integrated security solution.
David Hammond, general sales manager for Samsung Techwin’s CCTV division in Europe, said: “Samsung Techwin is delighted to have established a close working relationship with Milestone Systems. Milestone shares our ambition to be at the leading edge of technology and our partnership will deliver substantial benefits to our mutual customers.”
Under the partnership agreement, customers of Samsung Techwin network cameras will have the opportunity to use Milestone XProtect management software with a free one-camera licence that will be included in the camera packages.
