Securitas enters Serbian security services market

The ‘enterprise value’ of the company is estimated to be 3.8 million Euros. SCP is the third major security services company in Serbia, with a 6% market share in guarding. The organisation boasts annual sales of approximately eight million Euros, and employs 1,500 staff.

Established five years ago, SCP enjoys a strong position in the capital Belgrade, and runs guarding operations in 45 other Serbian cities.

The Serbian economy is developing with a GDP growth of 6%, while the security market is estimated to be worth something in the region of 148 million Euros.

This latest Securitas acquisition has just been approved by the Serbian competition authorities, with the company consolidated in Securitas AB as of 2 September.

Protectas in Safe Homes buy-out deal

Securitas has also acquired an alarm systems company in Switzerland. Securitas’ Swiss subsidiary Protectas SA has bought SH Safe Home SA for 6.2 million Swiss Franks.

Safe Home installs alarm systems for private householders, and has annual sales of approximately 2.7 million Swiss Franks.

Protectas and Safe Home have co-operated for more than ten years. The majority of Safe Home’s alarms are connected to the Protectas Alarm Receiving Centre, with Protectas also delivering the call-out service for these customers.

This acquisition was consolidated in Securitas AB as of 1 September.
