Compared with 2004 the show will be covering 15% more space, occupying halls 4, 6, 8 and 10, at the Feria de Madrid, as well as an external area located between halls 5 and 6.
Interestingly for readers of Platform, one of the new features at Sicur is an area dedicated to computer and information security, which looks at the security risks faced by new technology infrastructures.
A wide-ranging conference and seminar programme will also be held alongside the exhibition. Sessions include: ‘Private security in Spain – a growing mature market?’, organised by AES-Aproser, and ‘Security and competitiveness in the chemical industry’.
The event also aims to promote research, development and innovation in security, and to define the practical applications of new services in this area. A dedicated area, the Gallery of New Products, will highlight prototypes or products launched after 1 March 2004.
