Siemens Building Technologies has announced the
reorganisation of its UK fire safety operations. The structure centres around a new national headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire, complemented by regional offices around the country.
The company says the new structure will deliver important benefits for customers, including dedicated engineering and technical support teams with access to a database of worldwide applications.
As part of the reorganisation, David Calthorpe has been appointed managing director for UK fire safety operations, and Phil Herd financial director.
“With the capability not only to provide new equipment and systems, but also to offer maintenance for our own and third party installations nationwide, Siemens has been a leader in fire protection for more than 25 years,” said David Calthorpe. “This reorganisation will enable us to leverage the experience and expertise we’ve gained over that period to become the industry’s foremost specialist, while retaining our tight focus on effective solutions and first class customer service.”
