Success for Security Institute’s first ball

Following on from the success of the Institute’s annual lunch earlier in the year, the event attracted people from across the industry and around the country.

The BSIA’s David Dickinson and David Greer of Skills for Security were in attendance and corporate bookings from Mitie Security, Receptors, Mobotix and Arup Security Consulting helped to make the event a success.

Guests were able to make use of the hotel’s luxurious facilities, including two championship golf courses and beauty treatments, as well as shopping in nearby Chester.

As the evening drew in, visitors enjoyed a four-course gala dinner before taking to the dance floor with Manchester’s Lemon Tree Band. Chairman Bill Wyllie and his wife Annette were the first to dance and within seconds they were joined by other couples.

The party continued into the early hours and lucky raffle winners took home gifts including a patio heater, an exercise machine and an electric scooter.

“No speeches, no awards or presentations – just a great evening of fun and friendship,” said the Security Institute’s general manager Di Thomas.
