The University of Sheffield is working with the SIA and the Economic and Social Research Council in conducting a survey to gauge the impact of regulation on the private security industry.
Opinions and experiences of regulation are being sought in an online questionnaire, which has been set up for both individuals and companies within the private security industry to share their views.
Simi Bath, SIA assistant director of development, said: “We welcome the industry’s comments. The data gathered will be used to assess and measure the impact of regulation, inform us of stakeholder views and identify areas in which regulatory practices might be improved.”
The deadline for submissions is 16 February 2009.
