The system involves a tiny camera mounted in the cab which takes pictures of the passengers and securely stores them. If the driver feels threatened he presses a secret button which will send an alert to the RVR monitoring station.
The scheme is on a six week pilot with the support of Bolton Council and Greater Manchester Police.
