TDSi Hails IFSEC & 27% Increase in Leads

TDSi’s team has lauded IFSEC International 2013 as a success following a 27 percent increase in leads generated on the previous year.

The integrated security solutions provider was exhibiting its new EXgarde 4.1 integrated access control software, which features integration with video surveillance software VUgarde2, Texecom intruder alarms, and Milestone VMS solutions.

Managing director John Davies, who also presented at the show in his role as the head of the BSIA’s export council, described IFSEC as one of the key events of the year for TDSi, the access control industry, and the wider security sector.

He said:

It was a great chance to exhibit next to our Harmony Alliance partners Texecom and to push the security integration message. This year the TDSi stand featured the new version of our Integrated Access Control software, EXgarde 4.1 which has full integration with Texecom’s Premier range of intruder alarms, Milestone’s video management software solutions and our very own VUgarde2 CCTV software. Linking the integrated system back to Microsoft Active Directory, offers a truly joined-up security for any organisation. Being able to show visitors how the product works in real time is always a great experience, for both the demonstrator and the audience.

Davies also presented at IFSEC International about the use of biometric data in schools following the publication of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. You can see his presentation from the IFSEC Centre Stage here:

The benefits of systems integration is something that TDSi has been getting behind for some time, with the organization becoming significant proponents of the advantages for customers’ ability to build and choose a security system that is right for them.

Integration allows users to use new technology in tandem with older systems (analogue cameras, for example) that are still up to the job required. This allows system users to stretch their budgets and work with installers to enhance their security systems incrementally over time.

Davies also said that he was “encouraged” by the growth in the number of international businesses — particularly those from China and Asia — that come to IFSEC International. He explained how he is “passionate about the often untapped potential for the UK security industry” whose reputation internationally is considered to be very high.

He continued:

At TDSi we are embracing ‘newer’ markets all the time, such as West Africa for example, and seeing very exciting results. Our industry, like so many, is now firmly on the world stage and there are brilliant opportunities to be realised from making a commitment to shows like IFSEC.
