The Security Group (National) officially opens for business

Integration of the two companies over the last 12 months has led to the formation of “an exciting new company logo” and website, the successful re-accreditation of Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status – which comfortably places TSG in the Top 5% of ACS accredited companies in the UK – and recent extensions to the company’s other industry accreditations (including NSI Gold Member for ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.

Staff training is a key factor in the company’s service provision, as evidenced by the number of national framework agreements in place for aviation and defence contracts as well as preferred supplier status with corporate clients.

TSG continues its strong military and police affiliations: the company is well known for its Gurkha contingent and the proficiency of their performance.

Field Marshal Lord Bramall KG GCB OBE MC DL, a director of Bowles Security for many years, continues his support by serving as a non-executive director for TSG. Former Chief of the Defence Staff, Lord Bramall lends his expertise to the Board by way of strategic thinking, personnel management and logistics. He enjoys a long-held affiliation with the Gurkhas.

Focus on the management team

The TSG management team includes a blend of age and experience. Senior members have held top executive security positions on both sides of the Atlantic. Their extensive knowledge of the industry is brought together through this merger and provides the company with a greater depth of resource and geographical coverage in terms of both the existing and potential client base.

The group ethos remains: “Great People, Great Service, Great Performance”. The continued company pledge is to provide a dedicated, premium security service to customers.

Certainly, the management team feels the merger has added a greater depth of management and financial resource to support continued and sustainable growth in what’s recognised as a challenging market place.

Brian Mein, the chairman of TSG, commented: “I’m very pleased to announce the official launch of TSG. We now provide a real alternative in the market place as an SME of considerable substance which is led by one of the most experienced management teams in the industry.”

Mein continued: “We have carefully integrated all back office administration and operational procedures over the past year and introduced or improved upon many technological advancements such as cloud computing, the paperless environment, real-time patrol reporting and a new Control Room facility with a 24-hour remote monitoring capability.”

The chairman feels the company’s new website affirms its objective of providing a professional service, with full transparency, continued innovation and a commitment to genuine partnerships with customers.

In conclusion, Mein stated: “My directors and I would like to thank our clients for their continued support and our staff for their loyalty and commitment. We value these relationships. It’s on these foundations that our company has grown, and I look forward to the next phase of our development with the introduction of new business and increasing the security sectors covered by our operation.”
