Virtual security system to help NHS lone workers

IdentiSafe, the lone worker protection service devised by Orbis, links an Identicom panic alarm with Orbis’ own Control Centre. Before going into potentially hazardous situations, users record where they are on response centre software. If a user has to raise the alarm, operators retrieve the information, listen on line to what is happening and send emergency support.

Jim Gee, chief executive of the CFSMS, told SMT: “NHS staff have told me that they feel much safer and far more at ease in their working environment when using the new device. I very much hope that NHS organisations take advantage of the opportunity which is now presented to protect lone workers.”
