Vivotek releases three-axis fixed dome

Designers say the Vivotek FD7131 offers a wide angle, varifocal lens that has been developed to offer optimum coverage when used for indoor surveillance.

Vivotek, which was established in 2000, added the PIR motion sensors to the cameras in an attempt to prevent false alarms. These detect temperature changes in the infrared range that are caused by intruders and will instruct the CCTV cameras to automatically record on activation.

Embedded with Vivotek’s VVTK-1000 SoC, the cameras aim to simultaneously deliver dual streams at up to 30fps in VGA resolution to separate multimedia devices for real-time viewing.

With advanced features like 3GPP mobile surveillance and built-in 802.3af-compliant PoE, Vivotek claims the FD7131 will help users to build up a cost-effective IP surveillance system for indoor applications.

The FD7131 comes with bundled 16-channel recording software and support for two-way audio will be made available later through a firmware upgrade.
