Wiseberg was appointed Group chairman of Mirasys – one of the foremost providers of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions – following the company’s Annual General Meeting (held this week at its Helsinki headquarters).
Wiseberg, of course, was most recently a main Board director at Warrington-based CCTV manufacturer AD Group, where he spent 12 years and helped to grow the company’s turnover from under GB pound 1 million to nearly GB pound 90 million in just five years and served as managing director of subsidiary RemGuard from 1997.
During Wiseberg’s time at the AD Group, the organisation won the Deloitte Indy 100 Award for the fastest-growing UK company (in 2004).
Presence on the European stage
This hugely respected industry professional has served CENELEC (the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation) as the UK’s principal expert on CCTV, sitting as a member of that Committee for several years.
On that note, he was the first individual from the CCTV sector to be appointed chairman of the British Security Industry Association (a role he fulfilled from 2006 through to 2008).
In addition, he has also found time to serve on the main Board at Skills for Security.
Innovation, innovation, innovation
“I’m really excited to be joining Mirasys,” said Wiseberg from Las Vegas, while in attendance at this week’s ISC West Exhibition. “It’s an innovative company which has been doing some great things of late.”
Wiseberg continued: “The future of video surveillance is very bright and Mirasys, which is renowned for providing its customers with effective, high-resolution solutions, is poised to significantly increase its share in what’s an extremely competitive market.”
In conclusion, Wiseberg told SMT Online: “More and more end users are demanding increased functionality together with ease of operation from their video surveillance systems, as well as solutions which can integrate the latest megapixel camera technology. Mirasys offers that flexibility to its customers.”
Leader in the CCTV community
Jukka Riivari – the chief executive at Mirasys – added his comments. “Adam is a greatly respected leader in the video surveillance community, and we’re delighted to welcome him to Mirasys,” explained Riivari.
“We’re confident that, with Adam’s leadership, we will continue to build on the rich potential that exists at Mirasys. We’ll be expanding into exciting new markets in a faster way, and demonstrating the power and value of our software solutions in a broader range of vertical sectors.”
Mirasys markets software solutions including the NVR Enterprise – a comprehensive enterprise level security platform – and NVR Pro, an entry-level IP video surveillance platform.
The company also provides hardware including a range of NVRs that support the H.264 data compression standard. In the real world, this inevitably means less disk storage space and that less bandwidth is required to capture high-resolution footage.
