With over 30 years in the industry, Yates is already very familiar with C-Tec products and boasts an impressive track record. After starting his career as an estimator at Static Systems Group, he joined major distribution group Firesafe as technical sales representative, covering accounts all over the UK.
Most recently, John worked as regional sales manager with Sensotec.
In conversation with SMT Online, Charlotte Manley – C-Tec’s sales director – said: “Appointing someone of John’s calibre is a major coup for us, particularly as he’s so well versed with C-Tec’s range of fire alarms, call systems and disability equipment. We’re thrilled to welcome him on board.”
Manley continued: “Our presence is already strong in the South and, with his years of experience and technical knowledge, I’m fully confident that John will build on our existing success.”
Concentration on key accounts
In the short term, Yates will concentrate on consolidating C-Tec’s key existing distributor accounts and actively developing new business in the South.
