ekey home and ekey home integra are physical access control systems that scan and store fingerprints as an ekey code template during enrolment. A user is granted access only after a successful match of newly generated template with a previously stored one.
No image is stored, only an encrypted binary code template that cannot be reversed or used to reconstruct the original fingerprint image. If the captured information matches with the previously stored finger scan, access is granted immediately.
Georg Schaffer, export manager at ekey biometric systems said: “The biometric access solutions ekey home and ekey home integra replace the need for keys, cards or codes. There’s no need to use a key to lock or unlock your door. Instead, an authorized finger over the scanner will do. The system is suitable for apartments, homes, garages and offices.”
Neither a PC nor a technician is necessary to add users to the system. Up to 99 fingers can be administrated by ekey home and ekey home integra. These products are designed for full outdoor use from -40 degrees C up to +85 degrees C.
The ekey home integra is a thin and elegant biometric reader that can be flush-mounted in a small opening in a door or door frame or directly into an intercom. It comes in a variety of finishes and can be mounted outside.
Even small injuries or cuts do not affect the system performance. This system is based on biometric technology, which means capturing finger scans, added Schaffer.
