Axis pays tribute to CCTV through medium of dance

Security is a pretty serious subject. The business of keeping people, businesses and homes safe is no laughing matter. However, once in a while we get sent an absolute gem that shows the funny side of our profession.

For example, the Axis Communications quality assurance team in Sweden decided to take an artistic look at the security sector – and more specifically surveillance – through the medium of dance.

Filmed at the firm’s 2011 Christmas party, the video speaks for itself really. Enjoy the team’s visualisations of PTZ, preset camera positions and other CCTV favourites to the soundtrack of Robert Miles’ Children and LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem.

We’ll forgive you if you miss out on watching the encore, though.

And if you enjoy the below video, make sure you also check out the Axis flashmob 15th anniversary tribute to the world’s first network camera (this time to the tune of Jane’s Addiction’s Been Caught Stealing).
