The basic package includes a mini-dome camera, 15-inch flat screen monitor and digital recording, on-site, for up to 31 days. Jewellers have the option of further enhancing the system to include off-site monitoring, including real-time intervention by a third-party Remote Video Response Centre in the event of an incident.
The packaged solution enables independent jewellers to lease a fully installed and operating CCTV system for as little as GB pound 6 a week, Chubb claims. “Obviously jewellers are vulnerable because of the value of their stock, so staff need to feel that they are protected, and that help is at hand should something happen,” Chubb’s Colin Walters said.
“This is why we have the option of off-site monitoring. Should a member of staff feel threatened, they simply press a panic button and our highly skilled RVRC operators can see what is happening and summon help as required.”
