By simply plugging the camera into the network, it automatically inspects the router and connects to the internet.
Each Simple IP series camera is packaged with an identification card, a CD-rom containing the GenieView software, an instruction manual, a DC 12V power supply and a 10-inch Ethernet cable.
The user can connect from anywhere using a unique camera ID/password (found on the ID card supplied).
Other features include the ability to record onto a PC either manually or through motion detection, and the ability to send emails when motion is detected and throttling to control bandwidth usage. When connected through the GenieView icon, the camera automatically detects itself.
The IP camera series consist of a standard resolution bodied camera (NC300), bullet style camera (NB309IR), mini indoor dome (NID2910), and an external IP66 rated vandal resistant dome camera (NVD2910).
The bullet style camera comes with an integrated 3-9mm DC AI varifocal lens, while the mini domes feature a 2.9-10mm DC AI varifocal lens.
Other features include MPEG-4 compression, 4 to 20 simultaneous users, image quality settings, and adjustable bandwidth.
Genie marketing manager Binit Shah said: “These new self-networking IP cameras are great for domestic applications where higher speed internet speed is available. The installer does not need to have experience with networking to get the new Genie IP cameras to work thus simplifying the job.”
