Raptor has no visible camera unit or aerial and has been designed to remain completely undetected, which its manufacturers claim will help cut down on “street clutter”.
The system features full PTZ functions, a 60 degree camera tilt and offers users 360 degree vision with continuous rotation.
A Sony day/night camera module is backed up by 36x optical and 10x digital zoom and an image stabilisation feature that should provide evidential quality pictures at maximum zoom.
MEL claims the camera’s COFDM transmission technology (using standard 1.3, 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands) will deliver interference-free images from multiple cameras up to 4km away without requiring a line of sight.
The cameras can be powered by 240v AC or 12v DC, making them suitable for fixed and temporary installations.
