Broadland Guarding Services has won an award for CCTV Operator Team of 2012 for their work at Bournemouth Borough Council.
The award was presented at the National CCTV User Group awards and is the third year running that the control room team has beaten over 350 other CCTV control rooms in the competition.
Broadland’s control room manager for Bedford Borough Council, Simon Habermehl, was also recognised for his achievement with an award in the Management and Innovation category.
The awards are held annually by the CCTV User Group, whose “raison d’etres […] is ‘Recognising Excellence’ in the management and operation of CCTV Public Space Surveillance Systems.”
Amanda Geary, managing director of Broadland Guarding Services, said: “I am very proud and delighted to receive another award for the quality of our services, this time for the Bournemouth Council CCTV Control Centre.
“It is a great credit to both the Company and the local community that the outstanding work carried out by the Bournemouth Council CCTV Control team is making a huge impact to ensure that Bournemouth’s streets are a safer place for those who work, live, trade, visit and enjoy the facilities of Bournemouth and its surrounding areas.”
