The upgrade is based on COE’s high capacity fibre optic video transmission and CCTV control technology.
The system was based on COE X-Net CWDM optical backbone and COE Telecommand multiple control point CCTV design. This ensured that all video services were managed on the existing airport fibres.
“The technical knowledge and expertise in such complex systems was of great value in helping us keep infrastructure upgrade costs and disruption to a minimum,” says SapuraCrest general manager Karu Karunakaran. “The system was simple to install and the seamless integration with the existing CCTV system made the whole project a smooth upgrade.”
