The ‘Hutchinson Almanac 2001’ includes a comprehensive section on law and crime, and policing the Internet. Information has been collated from a number of sources, including the 1998 British Crime Survey.
The report also provides an overview of the UK legal system and judiciary, and crimes and offences. It is priced at GB pound 35.
According to the latest Home Office British Crime Survey, crime has decreased by 10% since 1997.
Burglaries have decreased by 21%,car crime is down by 11% and violence by 4%. Robbery is said to be up by 14%, while theft from the person has risen by around 4%.
