West Oxfordshire Community Safety Partnership has launched the initiative. The Swift mobile camera system will focus on crime hot spots not covered by static cameras and where there is no fibre optic network.
With the mobile camera providing a transmission range of real time video and telemetry of up to four kilometres, coverage is possible in areas that would otherwise be unprotected.
