Four other companies also won awards. Advanced Perimeter Systems won for its Flexiguard, JVC Professional Europe’s TK-C720ETP twisted pair camera, Synectics Systems’ Synergy Pro and ADE’s Logic Six also won awards.
The runners up were Videotec for the Verso, Indala for FlexISO – Mifare card, Cieffe for Spectiva 16RT 1.3, Crime Solutions for Spyral Forensic Intelligence, VCS for its Vidos NVR and Cambridge Neurodynamics for its Intelligent Scene Analysis System.
The IFSEC Awards are sponsored by the BSIA. It recognises the most innovative products among companies exhibiting at the CMPi-organised IFSEC exhibition. Exhibitors are required to show that their products demonstrate pioneering technology to be eligible.
The judging panel included Mike Smalley (MOD Security Services Group), John Smith (Prudential Corporation plc), Greg Lawrence (Tesco), Professor Damien McDonnel (Defence Diversification Agency), Geoff Whitfield (Glaxo SmithKline R&D Ltd), Redvers Hocken (Redvers Hocken Associates), Brian Coleman (Police Scientific Development Branch), Alan Hyder (Security Installer), Ron Alalouff (CCTV Today), Alex Carmichael (BSIA) who acted as technical advisor to the judges and Awards chairman, David Dickinson (BSIA).
