State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Location, location, location – it’s all change, due to fire

  • SITO’s 2003 National Training Conference, scheduled for November 4, will now be held at The Quadrangle Conference and Exhibition Centre in Oxford, home of Oxford United Football Club. Speakers will include John Saunders, chief executive of the Security Industry Authority, and a number of seminars will be held throughout the day. For further information, or to book a place, call 01905 20004.

  • IIPSEC 2004 will be held in the same week in January but has been brought forward by one day. It will now be from January 27 to 29 at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry. Paul Hennings, Director of IIPSEC organiser IP Security Events and Media Ltd commented: “I found the fire particularly upsetting as I am a vintage bike fan and I am in the process of restoring my own classic bike. However, we had already decided on Stoneleigh Park as 2005’s venue, so finding an alternative to 2004’s was an easy choice.” Stoneleigh Park is only 20 minutes from the destroyed Motorcycle Museum, ten minutes from junction 15 of the M40.

  • Norbain Live 2003, the series of regional events Norbain is hosting for CCTV and access control installers, has relocated its Birmingham event. The new venue on November 20 is the De Vere Belfry Hotel, Wishaw. Norbain SD marketing manager Huw Edwards commented: “We were quickly able to relocate to another venue that is of the same quality and ease of access for midlands visitors. This change will have no impact at all on Norbain LIVE.”
