Concorde security off to a flying start

    Fire detection

Vision Systems’ Vesda aspirating smoke detectors are protecting the decommissioned Concorde aircraft housed at the Museum of Flight in East Fortune, while ADPRO – the company’s remote CCTV surveillance system, is shielding the Concorde aircraft now on display at Manchester Airport’s Aviation Viewing Park.

The management team in Manchester needed to find a reliable and unobtrusive security system for its Concorde ‘Alpha Charlie’, which now resides on its own runway within the complex. ADPRO was chosen because it can deliver high quality images in double-quick time, offers accurate alarm verification and round-the-clock monitoring – all from a single, central location.

At the Museum of Flight, VESDA offers the necessary assurances that any fire will be pinpointed as early as possible.
