“AD’s turnover has soared from GB pound 930,000 in 1998 to GB pound 93m in 2004, and Mike’s philosophy of constant innovation, keeping one step ahead of the competition, really shone through when it came to having to decide on the eventual winner.”
Newton said he was delighted to have won the award, “particularly as the nominations came from the readers, who are also entrepreneurs in their own right. It also reflects the strength of the team and processes that we now have at AD Group – especially in R&D – which allows the business to thrive and means that we are in a position to offer genuinely innovative CCTV solutions on the ground, in the air and on the move.”
The EN accolade follows Newton’s ranking by Management Today magazine as number one amongst the top 100 entrepreneurs in the UK.
