Eyes on the prize!
For those security managers seeking the ultimate in high-level security and quick, accurate performance, Panasonic’s BM-ET330 Iris Recognition System provides an ideal solution. The BM-ET330 combines high-precision, fast iris recognition with flexible system architecture for the delivery of state-of-the-art biometric security. These systems actively capture information held in the human eye, and create a unique identifier which is then electronically stored and retrieved for positive identification.
Security professionals working in banks and financial houses, laboratories and factories, traffic control centres and airport and harbour facilities should be particularly interested in this system. In use, the BM-ET330 can accommodate 100, 1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 end users (maximum), and is suitable for mounting to accommodate wheelchair users.
Necessarily, the units are designated ‘super safe’ and equipped with tamper detection. The system operator will be notified immediately – by way of a dedicated alarm – if a given camera is removed from the wall, or if the front cover should be opened.
In addition, the false acceptance ratio of the BM-ET330 is claimed to be so low that the probability of falsely identifying one individual as another is virtually zero.
Win a BM-ET330 system
Panasonic is very kindly offering the readers of Security Management Today (SMT) the chance to win one of three BM-ET330 Iris Recognition Systems.
Totalling nearly GB pound 7,000 per lucky winner, the prize will include complete installation of the system by a fully-registered, professional security installer and a formal prize presentation courtesy of SMT’s Editor, Brian Sims.
SMT is also planning to run a Case Study article on each project post-installation and commissioning in a future edition to see how our winners have taken to their new biometric security regime.
If you want to be a winner, please e-mail your name, company details and contact telephone number(s) to Jessica Milner at Panasonic (UK). These details should be sent to: [email protected]
The closing date is Wednesday 7 December. The lucky winners will be chosen at random and contacted directly by Panasonic either on or before Friday 9 December 2005. Good luck!
