Chris Pinder, who has worked at the BSIA for eight years, becomes regional manager for the South, and will continue to facilitate the Export Council and Human Resources Committee. Daren Wood, with the BSIA for five years, becomes regional manager for the North, and will continue to facilitate the Consultancies, Information Destruction, Cash and Property Marking and Physical Security Equipment sections.
BSIA director of technical and membership services, Alex Carmichael, said: “Our new regional managers will play an important role in ensuring that our regional meetings and initiatives are more effective and influential.”
Birkenshaw said: “The initiative has gone from strength to strength under the chairmanship of Alan Townsend and is now recognised as a national standard for reducing commercial robbery. Alan’s ability and determination have got the initiative to where it is today and I aim to build upon what has been achieved to ensure Raid-control continues to flourish”.
